LATAH COUNTY JAIL TO TRANSITION TO COURT HOLDING AND BOOKING FACILITY FOLLOWING JAIL ASSESSMENT The Latah County Sheriff’s Office is transitioning into a court holding and booking facility after careful assessment and deliberation. A recent comprehensive evaluation determined that the facility’s fire suppression, plumbing, electrical, and camera systems require full replacement to safely continue housing inmates for more than 24 hours.
